10/10 Pretty much perfect
Jacko is a triumph over the generally mediocre and disappointing food of Netanya – and Israeli seafood in general. It’s the one of the few places I’ve eaten in and gone back and gone back again and again. And surprising myself, I’ve ordered the same dish – seafood for two, which is pictured below, a few times and never been disappointed. The prices are very reasonable.
The seafood is spectacularly fresh, the salads are more unique than the typical “fish restaurant” of Israel. And in a surprising victory over the ubiquitous cabbage salad, Jacko has added some kind of miraculous sauce that makes cabbage salad appetizing. They also serve sweet potatoes and ikra in the salad selection. The bread is always freshly baked and never fails to be just delightful. Try the specials (seafood special pictured below).
And if the food isn’t reason enough, the service is always spectacular.
I recommend making reservations for lunch or dinner ahead of time. If you’re looking for a decent place to eat on an outing to IKEA in Netanya, this is your best bet. Free parking.
